The Challenge
Clearance at ports and airports involves customs officers, port authorities, carriers, brokers and several ministries. Each ran its own application, so a single consignment could be re-keyed and re-checked many times, and no one had a complete view of its status.
The Architecture & Solution
We defined a reference architecture for electronic clearance, with shared services for identity, document exchange, risk rules and event tracking, and integration adapters for each agency. Delivery followed a governed lifecycle with requirement traceability from tender to test evidence.
Key Deliverables
- Reference architecture and architecture decision records
- Integration layer between customs, port and airport systems
- Role-based workflows with a full audit trail
- Gate-control integration points for seaport and airport entry
